In 2010, Turning the TIDE – in partnership with The Philadelphia AIDS Consortium (TPAC) – received a grant of $250,000 (distributed over a five-year period) from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to help address the disproportionate effect that AIDS has had on the African American, Latino and Asian/Pacific Islander communities across Philadelphia.  To meet their goals of creating positive changes and much-needed AIDS/HIV education in these communities, Turning the TIDE and TPAC have developed a program called Changing Opinions to Prevent HIV (COPH).
